My Sex is Worship My Orgasm Offering

I had the most wonderful time presenting at the Embodiment Conference, a ten day 24 hour international conference. What an honor to present with names such as Ken Wilber, Alanis Morressette and so many more!

The beauty was that it was held by such an amazing crew of people and was organized so well and so smoothly it felt natural to slide in to present and move around to attend other events, complete with coffee break spaces for attendees.

I have been a priestess of Sekhmet for decades now but have not always spoken openly about my spiritual practice. I am not sure if it because I am growing more mature in age (they say you care less about others opinions as you mature) or our current state of the nation?

I am proud to be a a Black Feminist Witch. I see the nation unraveling around the need to address our institutionalized racism and patriarchal systems, to address the hate and intolerance which is so prevalent and rising to the surface. How do we stay in a frame of love and protest without protecting ourselves? When our highest office refuses to speak against hate happening in the streets and the military enforcement is the same as those we are told to call for protection, it decreases the options.

As a Black woman I live in a state of perpetual lack of safety which my white counterparts can ignore or choose to dismiss simply because they can. For them it is a choice to feel, think about or make mention of, and then ask questions which solidify their position and reinforce that they have choice in matters which I do not.

So I of all times find myself publicly speaking of foundational aspects of my practices of personal power and devotion. The dismantling of shame, judgment and fear through my spirexual practice and devotion to Sekhmet. The dichotomy and juxtaposition is not lost on me and yet the insanity in the United States is not the state of the world. These truths which we are addressing are just as critical to our core sense of being.

How do we show up for ourselves and how do we relationally show up for each other when we are not driven by fear and hate, how do we navigate from love, resource, compassion And vulnerability? We do the work we came here to do as embodied souls, that is paramount.

Finding the balance between our inner world and the one which surrounds us is one we all must navigate. The truth is without care of ourselves and our inner world the rest can become irrelevant to most.

In love and solidarity ๐ŸคŽ
